Sunlife Business Meeting Minutes

16 November 2020

Meeting held over the internet via Zoom provided by Doc Cunningham and called to order at 1307 by President Sue Rogers.

 

Guests etc. – Welcome John Wayne Horne new member

Health and Welfare Larry Taylor getting stent this week. Jim Speck spouse feeling much better after her fall. Dick Vance's daughter making headway, but not a lot.

 

 

 

Minutes of previous business meeting (19 Oct) read and approved as read.

 

Treasurer's Report-- Current Bank Balance $2457.81, petty cash $221.99, education fund $1286.90. Moved and seconded to approve report as read. Motion carried.

 

Old Business – We will continue to meet via ZOOM through January 2021 and maintain contact with Greenfield Village to see when if we can resume in person meetings in their facility.

 

Dues are still $10./year and include spouse. Dues can be handed to Sue or Chuck if seen in person (i.e. at the park on Thursday) or mail to Sue.

 

New Business – President Rogers suggested that our Christmas party have a 50/50 drawing to augment club treasury since we have no 50/50 at regular meetings. Jim Steimetz made a motion to have 50/50 drawing at Christmas party for benefit of the treasury. Second—Tom Goforth. Motion passed.

 

Tom Goforth announced that Titan Missile Museum trip is planned for Monday Dec 28, between Christmas and New Year to use the discone antenna to make contacts and to tour the museum if desired. There is a usual stop for late lunch on the way back. Car-pooling is recommended. Rick McGaver is planning to attend if he makes it here in time. We usually leave about 0600 and arrive there at around 0800. The museum opens at 0900 where we go to register that we are using the antenna and/or sign-up for museum tour.

 

Today is the last day to send comments to the FCC about the proposed fee structure for licensing, renewals, vanity calls,etc.

 

Announced that the Nomads testing team (Bob, Laura,Chuck, and Sue) tested 21 people that passed their tests in the last two weeks.

 

Doc is still looking for presentations to keep the weekly meetings informative, interesting, and educational.
